Yesterday Kendra and I made a quick jaunt to the local Fred Meyers. As we got in the car to come home, it started pouring buckets of rain. Most of you think this is normal this area, but it really isn't. We rarely get heavy deluges of rain.
Knowing, as I do, that the locals can't drive for crap in the rain (how's that for irony?), I pulled out my smart little anroid phone and hopped on Google traffic. Sure enough, the interstate was awful. I pulled out my GPS and programmed it to take me home via back roads. In 20 minutes we were home without hitting a single traffic snag.
At that point, I realized the absolute, delicious ridiculousness of it all. Ain't technology grand?
